Wedding Video FAQ
Here is a list of some Wedding Video FAQ. There are also a few I threw in that are important. If your question didn’t make the list, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to answer it for you!
QUESTION: WE (WEDDING COUPLE) REALLY LIKED THE HIGHLIGHT VIDEO, WE WOULD LIKE TO GET THE FULL CEREMONY, SPEECHES OR DANCES NOW. CAN WE GET THOSE VIDEOS?
Answer: No, unfortunately not. If we are not scheduled to capture the entire moment for an a la carte video we will not film it as so. We will probably be trying to get the one or two good shots to add to the highlight. So you’ll need to be sure on your video package before the big day!
QUESTION: CAN I JUST GET ALL THE FOOTAGE YOU SHOT?
Answer: We currently do not offer this. There is a number of reasons. First of all, there is a ton of footage. Not just time but space. 4K video takes up a lot of space. It’s not uncommon that our wedding folder be 150+ GB. Also, we color correct, color grade, stabilize, and/or frame almost every shot in post production. The file that was recorded on your wedding can look drastically different than the delivered one on your computer screen. Finally, we mess up a lot. In order to get the shot we want… It often takes numerous takes. So for every slide, jib, pan, focus pull, there are (sometimes multiple) shots we didn’t get exactly how we wanted.
QUESTION: I HAVE SEEN SOME WEDDING VIDEOS AND I REALLY LIKE THEM, BUT WEDDINGS ARE EXPENSIVE SO I’M NOT SURE.
Answer: GET IT! The cost of a wedding can be overbearing, but I would highly recommend not skipping on anything that will help you remember your big day. I can go into detail, but I would suggest reading the ‘5 Reasons You Need a Wedding Video‘
QUESTION: HOW DO I BUY MORE DIGITAL COPIES OF MY WEDDING VIDEOS. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THEM TO MY PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS, ETC.
Answer: There is no need! Once you receive your flash drive with all the video files on it you are free to copy and distribute them as you please. If you don’t know how to copy the files to another jump drive, we will be happy to help you with this. We can also burn you more Blu-rays, and we will do this for you at cost of the Blu-ray disc/case/etc.
QUESTION: WILL YOU TRAVEL?
Answer: Absolutely! We have done weddings in Jefferson City, Columbia, Springfield, Kansas City, and currently have one booked for Florida! Depending on distance, there may be additional cost for gas, hotel, and coffee of course!
QUESTION: MY FRIEND HAS AN IPHONE AND CAN SHOOT THE WEDDING, CAN YOU JUST EDIT HIS FOOTAGE?
Answer: No
QUESTION: I WANT A WEDDING VIDEO, WHATS THE NEXT STEP?
Answer: Drop us an email and we will send you a wedding request form. Make sure you send us your wedding date so we know right away if we will be able to film your big day.
